Hello! I'm Jakub Bartos, more commonly known in the music industry as Lacidre. My journey in music started when I was 15, sparked by a deep passion for hip-hop. I penned lyrics, recorded several music videos, and even performed at gigs. This immersive experience prompted me to delve deeper into the mechanics of how beats and music are made. After a few releases as a rap artist, I shifted my focus more towards production, leading to my enrollment in a Bachelor of Honours Music Production degree in 2020. Today, with a degree in hand and five years of experience under my belt, I've worked on a broad array of my own projects as well as collaborative works with other talented musicians.

One of the highlights of my career thus far is my single "Dark Hour," a project I am deeply proud of. Not only did I produce and provide the vocals, but I also wrote the lyrics and coordinated the recording of the music video with a talented crew of actors and a Director of Photography. Released under London's independent label, Metropole Records, "Dark Hour" marked a significant milestone in my career. More recently, I completed an EP composed for the vintage Alexander McQueen fashion show, No.13, further expanding my production repertoire.

As a music producer, my distinct sound palette and style set me apart. I enjoy fusing indie sonics and harmonies with electronic music patterns, creating an eclectic blend that often includes elements of RnB, hip-hop, organic house and liquid drum and bass. I also have a knack for combining classic instruments with electronic elements, creating unique soundscapes that resonate on an emotional level with listeners.

I see myself as a guide for artists, aiding them in navigating their creative journeys and finding their best form of expression. My close relationship with Metropole Records has further bolstered my growth and given me access to an exciting pool of talent.

Looking ahead, I aspire to become a world-class pioneer of new sounds, creating immersive sound journeys for artists and shaping the audio experience of some of the best fashion brands. I'm also eager to collaborate with movie directors to score films, adding another layer to the rich tapestry of my musical career.

But my ambitions extend beyond just music. I envision creating audiovisual exhibitions that can be experienced in modern galleries. I want to captivate visitors with immersive presentations that engage all senses and leave a powerful imprint. I'm excited to push the boundaries of traditional music production and merge it with the realm of sensory art.
